Perfection

Hello my dears, I trust you are having a happy and productive Thursday! I have had a busy period of two weeks writing, planning and on top of that keeping up with my social media posts and blog writing. Quite frankly, it is a very packed schedule on top of my full-time office job as a Health&Safety coordinator but I would not change it for anything in the world.

Now, I am not much of a poet and rhymes are not my stronger suit, however, I had the inspiration to write this poem last year when I decided to go on a little trip alone across Wiltshire and the surroundings.

Graceful horses march down the flowery hill,

stroked by the loving sun as I watch.

Yes, I watch,

filled with glorified pride as our mother nature smiles upon us,

gifting us with everything holy.

I watch the perfection surround us,

wondering if every bump on my body,

if every graceless curve on my body,

if every bleeding thought in my mind,

is also perfection.

The hateful cloak crawling from my mind and embracing me in its pathetic paws.

Perfection.

The paws squeeze my heart in painful suffocation.

Perfection.

You are perfection, whispered mother nature into the silence.

Yet perfection is a broad subject.

The first tear goes,

drowning in the river of never-ending what-ifs.

The rest follows,

marching into the knighthood of what-ifs.
